Current Obsessions

Here are a few things that are brightening up my life at the moment:
  • Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred Workout DVD: so effective!  My muscles are now in a constant state of soreness (and I love it)
  • The Cave Singers: kind of a folky David Gray-Everest combo... Check out their albums "Welcome Joy" and "Invitation Songs"
  • Dreyer's "Fruit Bars": 30 calorie Popsicles made with real fruit like strawberries and raspberries.  Delicious!
  • Concerts: within the next 2 months, I'm going to see Bon Iver, Bob Dylan, Regina Spektor, Mat Kearney, and a great collection of indie-folk bands at the Treasure Island Music Festival Oct. 18
  • Project Runway: two words--Tim Gunn.  Plus I guess the designers are pretty talented too :)
  • Robert Pattinson: gorgeous.  Just gorgeous.  And the accent!...I'm in love.
Well, those are all the things distracting me from my studies lately, haha.  This weekend is the Labor Day holiday, so I think I'll use that day off to catch up in all my classes, and maybe even get ahead in some of them.  Have a great holiday everyone!

Inspiration behind the blog title...

Live.Love.Matter. has become somewhat of a personal motto for me.  I first stumbled across that lovely combination of words while browsing the greeting cards in a Whole Foods.  Those three words can mean so much if you truly apply them to your life.  So, live life with passion, strength, and self-awareness; love those around you who support you and return that love; make something of yourself and change this world for the better.  Goodnight for now, more tomorrow!  :)

First Post!!!

Tonight on a whim I decided to create a blog, so here it is.  I'm pretty proud of it so far.  :)  I figure it will be a good running record of all my experiences, good and bad.  Some of the things I'm planning to incorporate into this blog are music, fashion, art, health, fitness, and the fun & interesting aspects of college life in Berkeley.  I'm hoping this blog will make me more self-aware and help me to appreciate the little quirks of my daily existence.  I'll try to post a little something every day.  Thanks for reading!
Here's a version of a poster I have on my wall (that I bought from a Free Trade store in downtown Berkeley):

Love it!
